Community Activities

Many of our members are active in other community endeavours.

Here is a sampling of their achievements.



Stan Bienert

Has been creating wooden models for 10 years. His first gold medal for the Alberta Games was in 2005, winning gold for a bulldozer. In 2011 he won a gold medal for a stage coach with 2 horses. In 2013 he won gold for a caterpillar and in 2015 he, again, won a gold medal for a wooden backhoe. What talent!

Stan is almost 93 and is an active floor curler and pool player in our club.






Glen Hundseth

Won a bronze medal in the 70 Plus Hockey Tournament at the Canada 55 Games in Brampton, Ontario. This is his sixth Canada Games and he has won two gold, one silver and three bronze medals.




Louise Libich

Won a silver medal as part of a team effort for Alberta in Oshawa, Ontario for Club 55 Bowl Canada.

Gold Medal

Emma Lien and Dorothy Young won a gold medal at the 2015 Alberta Games.


2016 Wind-Up Golf Tournament

Lorna Tilley presents the Ladies 2016 Champion Trophy to Donna Rasmussen.

Lorna Tilley presents the Men's 2016 Champion Trophy to George Hammel.

Donna Rasmussen and George Hammel received the Judith Schibel Memorial Club Championship Trophy as golf club champions of 2016.


Bridge Tournament

Paul Godfrey and Rob Glor won the bridge tournament held at our club on Friday, September 23, 2016. One hundred four people from all over central Alberta played.
