Many of our members are active in other community endeavours.
Here is a sampling of their achievements.
Has been creating wooden models for 10 years. His first gold medal for the Alberta Games was in 2005, winning gold for a bulldozer. In 2011 he won a gold medal for a stage coach with 2 horses. In 2013 he won gold for a caterpillar and in 2015 he, again, won a gold medal for a wooden backhoe. What talent!
Stan is almost 93 and is an active floor curler and pool player in our club.
OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS
AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Won a bronze medal in the 70 Plus Hockey Tournament at the Canada 55 Games in Brampton, Ontario. This is his sixth Canada Games and he has won two gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
Won a silver medal as part of a team effort for Alberta in Oshawa, Ontario for Club 55 Bowl Canada.
Alberta Floor Curling Association Provincials 50 Plus held in Morinville, Alberta.
